In most contexts ranching operations have been left to the experience of a hand full of indigenous individuals in various parts of the continent who tend to reserve some of the untampered genetics, but are also guilty of propagating poor genetics and land degradation secondary to knowledge deficit. Unfortunately, when they turn to our experts for help, the advice they get is unsustainable. Not only do the experts advice them to crossbreed with ‘improved breeds,’ but to practice monoculture on their pastures where selective grazing is the order of the day. We want to create a new face for ‘Made in Africa’ cattle gene pool that will be the most sought after genetics in the world. This is a fact and a reality. We are on a mission to restore common sense. The continent of Africa harbors arguably the best cattle genetics on the globe. It will be a disaster allowing such genetics to be watered down.
